The Indian Air Force's Republic Day flypast, featuring the 'Tangail' formation, will showcase heritage aircraft Dakota alongside two Dornier Do-228 aircraft flying on a blend of Aviation Turbine Fuel and Biofuel. The formation reenacts a successful airdrop during the India-Pakistan war in 1971. The Republic Day parade will also highlight indigenous weapon systems, including the LCH Prachand helicopter, Pinaka rocket launchers, and Nag anti-tank missiles. The event will exhibit the role of women in defense forces, with 60 women soldiers participating in the all-women marching contingent across the tri-services.
