India has made significant progress in ethanol blending with petrol. The blending rate reached 15.90% in June 2024 and the cumulative blending for the period November 2023 to June 2024 stands at 13%.
This achievement is a step closer to the government's target of 20% ethanol blending by 2025. Additionally, over 14,000 petrol pumps are now offering E20 (20% ethanol blended petrol).
