GAIL (India) Limited and VERBIO India Private Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore the development of Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants in India using agricultural residue. Key points:

◾ Partnership Goals: The collaboration aims to leverage agricultural residue as a resource for producing CBG, contributing to sustainable energy solutions in India.

◾ Key Representatives: The MoU signing was attended by Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, C&MD of GAIL, GAIL’s functional Directors, and VERBIO Group’s CEO, Shri Claus Sauter.

◾ Sustainability Focus: This initiative aligns with India's goals to reduce agricultural waste and promote cleaner energy sources, supporting the circular economy.

The MoU is a step toward advancing India’s biofuel production and reducing reliance on fossil fuels through innovative energy solutions.
